Exhibits in a Church [2016]

August usually has the Rīgas Svētki, a celebration of Riga’s birth. And one of the perks is that the Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation opens its doors for free to the people. I went into the courtyard, having only been inside of the actual Doma Cathedral, not the museum part. And there was an art installation that was rather cool!

Gates Into the Church

Original Description: The Doma Church, which's stone was the first stone of what will become Riga.

Original Description: I think…It looked like a cannon.

Those look like tombstones.
The whole place was like this basically.

The Iceberg

Original Description: A fake one, but…that was the attraction. The constant sound of dripping water/ice echoes around you and when you speak into the microphone, the sound of ice breaking comes out. I only spoke 'Hello' into and had fun doing so. I am easily amused.

Added Description: I remember there was a point it had to go through repairs because the roof was 'literally held up by prayer'. It was bad.
