Farm Trip [2016]

Family went on a trip to the farm one summer - well, a lot of summers, but since stuff doesn’t change a lot there, you get the gist of what the area looks like. Been years since I was there, but I sure don’t miss the dry outhouse and rowdy drunks the area has.

The Farm: Late At Night

Original Description: We arrived during the evening and the sun had almost set. I decided to take a walk and take a picture of the last rays of the sun for the day.

The Farm: The Next Evening

Original Description: We spent a total of 3 days there, so this is the sunset of Day 2, just as I exited the part of the property where the house is located.

The Farm: The Circle of Trees

Original Description: Just on the other side of the road and bit to the left of where you can exit the house territory. Mom, grandma and grandpa always go looking for the good mushrooms somewhere around there.

The Farm: The Glaring Sunlight

Original Description: Yeesh, this looked better on my phone.

The Farm: Road Downwards

Original Description: The property is located on a hill, so one road is downwards going.

The Farm: The Otherside of the Road

Original Description: The territory is a park, of sorts, where Latvijas Meži (Latvia's Forests) have planted and grow rare and amazing plants and trees from wherever.

The Farm: Down the Road

Original Description: Somewhere over there is a 'line' that separates our territory from the neighbors, but I don't remember how and where it goes.

The Farm: The Green Gates

Original Description: So a bunch of trees are growing in a grove, where the water usually is. Dad previously would chop them down, but I guess he decided to let them turn into trees.

The Farm: The Diving Road

Original Description: On the right side is the family property, while the left features the neighbors. You can't see it here, but there is a road that leads up to the neighbors house on the left side.

The Farm: Territory

Original Description: The freshly cut grass is the neighbors. The grown one is dads responsibility.

Original Description: It's faded, but it says 'Latvijas Valsts Meži' as in the 'Latvian Forests'

The Farm: To the Left...

Original Description: There is a relaxation spot and a swimming spot or two further in the territories, which is where I went.

Original Description: The Notice Board is always empty.

Original Description: More green…and sheesh, this looked way better on the phone!

Original Description: Quite a lot of frogs live around here. You wouldn't believe the number of baby froggies we have found swimming in the water.

Original Description: And like the title says - the other side.

Original Description: A path one can walk on if just for the sake of the walk.

Original Description: National park of sorts mixed with a forest in a summer uses every shade nature has.

Original Description: A nice distance, don't you think? Fun to ride with a bike, downhill. Just have to stop before you hit the river.
