Summer Photos [2015]
Not as many pictures in 2015 summer, but it does include a trip to Venstpils and water fowls

Ventspils Sunset
Original Description: Going to Ventsipls every summer is a tradition in the family. And even this year had pictures to take. Sorry, but lil' bro this year, he didn't want to climb the anchors and instead went to the Jungle Path (Which is basically a obstacle course hidden near the steam train tracks for kids of all ages to enjoy).
This was taken when we got to the beach after finding lil' bro. It's certainly beautiful, isn't it?

Beneath the Water
Original Description: Unlike Jurmala or Vecaki, Ventpils is located in front of the Baltic Sea and has numerous little rocks at the bottom, while anything within Riga's Gulf is just sand and seaweed. It's certainly a colorful bottom, if ya ask me.

Bottom of the Beach
Original Description: Unlike Jurmala or Vecaki, Ventpils is located in front of the Baltic Sea and has numerous little rocks at the bottom, while anything within Riga's Gulf is just sand and seaweed. It's certainly a colorful bottom, if ya ask me, looks kind of out of an anime.

Just Like the Others
Original Description: Unlike Jurmala or Vecaki, Ventpils is located in front of the Baltic Sea and has numerous little rocks at the bottom, while anything within Riga's Gulf is just sand and seaweed.

Almost Like the Others
Original Description: Ah! Even more! Darn it! Can't escape the stuff wherever you go!

Pull it, Boys!
Original Description: Basically: there's a pond, with a bit of an attraction, where you have to pull the little float across the pond by the chain going through the hoops on the edges. Dad decided to do it shirtless and some other kids joined the fray when they saw him going towards it.

Edge of Daugava
Original Description: The Daugava Riverbank is long and has several spots where you can go and feed some water-based fowls and spend some time by your lonesome or bring a kid along and enjoy a fun afternoon. Whatever floats your boat.

Edge of Daugava 2
Original Description: The other such place is a bridge nearby.

Edge of Daugava 3
Original Description: And it this place we get to see up close and personal a very majestic animal: swans!

Edge of Daugava 4
Original Description: Look at this creature! I don't know about you, but this is the closest I have ever been to one. I could almost reach out and touch it! But I didn't, because I love my hands more then I wish to touch a bird with teeth.

Edge of Daugava 5
Original Description: And said swan has a family! Welcome the Mrs.'s and their children!

Edge of Daugava 6
Original Description: Yes, you are seeing correctly. The bread we were throwing attracted these magnificent species to come out of their habitat to eat it.
Yes, now we know we should not be feeding them bread - this was taken nearly a decade ago. Give past-me a break.

Edge of Daugava 7
Original Description: So friggin close! Some folks even backed up and for a reason. This guy is known for his nasty hissing.

Edge of Daugava 8
Original Description: Aaah! A cute family picture! If this was a polaroid, I'd give them it to put it in their home!

Edge of Daugava 9
Original Description: Now for the kids to have their own picture!

Edge of Daugava 10
Original Description: A different day, a new Swan Family picture.

Edge of Daugava 11
Original Description: Some old lady just HAD to bring her pooch to the river and scare all the birds away. Papa Swan was one species change away from turning into a giant tiger with the hissing he was doing!

Edge of Daugava 12
Original Description: Aww! They're going away! Nice going pooch!

Edge of Daugava 13
Original Description: I came by a few days later and only Papa Swan came by. I wonder where the others are.

Edge of Daugava 14
Original Description:
I think I'm going crazy! Daugava's shrinking! It was right by that rock before!
textAh, the summers before the heat waves, how I miss thee.

Water Rose or Water Lily?
Original Description: Why do you call them Lily's in English? Latvians call them Roses, but they look like neither. What's the deal?
